This is a dream Ruck, Robert rarely builds in Brazilian, generally preferring Indian Rosewood, so that alone makes this a special Ruck, fine old aged Brazilian Rosewood, dark and jewel-like. Rodgers tuners, and an excellent quality Cedar soundboard with a raised fret board as well. This guitar, built in 2003 has been extremely well cared for and is virtually near new with only a very few, very light unremarkable impressions here and there signifying that it is pre-owned, really hardly worth even mentioning. Beautiful guitar in beautiful condition with Robert's top quality woods and tuners. Robert also placed position markers on frets 5/7/12/15/17 as well. Scale is 650mm. Back and sides Lacquer, top French polished, my favorite combination.

Tonally this guitar is the quintessential Ruck, gorgeous spanish like tone as Ruck is known for, very evocative of the character expressed in the many Manuel Barrueco recordings using his 1972 Ruck. Liquid, singing, musical trebles and rich deep basses, with concert level volume. Robert, being a Flamenco player himself, really 'gets' a comfortable action, and this instrument he has set up for extraordinary ease of play.

With Ruck's waiting list now permanently closed, this is about as close as you could hope to get to a new Ruck, already played in, in superb condition. This is a 'Ruck lovers Ruck'.
