This guitar sold the day it arrived! Yes, it was that good. Dieter has promised me another of his stellar double tops soon, call me for details or to place a deposit....

Dieter was very excited when he told me about this guitar, he had recently played a new Dammann and was very pleased to report that his newest guitar had very similar attributes in many ways. I have found this to be true with Dieter's guitars, very Dammann-like in many ways, i.e. uber light weight and very resonant, prefers Rosewood fingerboards over ebony feeling that it is a better tone wood and helps develop the overall sound of the guitar, twelve hole tie block and elevated fingerboard. When this guitar arrived I lifted it out of the case and one is immediately aware of the very light weight of the guitar. As you play the entire guitar resonates and this sounds as good as it feels, you can feel the music in your bones with these guitars, it is almost like YOU become part of the guitar, very inspiring. Dieter was correct, having played many Dammann's myself I could sense the similarities in tone and character, which is not to say that the Müller does not have it's own personality, it does, but the guitars are like sisters, different, but somehow 'related'. A very fine double top. Volume and projection are excellent, basses are crisp and balanced while the trebles are 'thick' and full bodied and the overall voice is a warm, dark, very cedar tone, really beautiful and enjoyable to listen to. My note from the last guitar is relevant to re-state here:

"As I have noted before I have been working with Dieter for many years. His double top guitars are among the very finest available anywhere, very reminiscent of Dammann (uber light weight for example) and yet they have a definite personality all their own. My collaboration with Dieter has been delightful and through direct and indirect contact with Matthias, combined with his own extensive background in guitar building, music (he plays both guitar and violin) and engineering (studied at the renowned Marbourg University) he has become one of the leading builders in fine double tops in Germany, and increasingly, around the world. Stephan Schmidt, for example, recorded his much lauded Bach Lute Suites with one of Dieter's 10 string guitars. Stephan has found two double top guitars that he loves, a Dammann of course, and not surprisingly, one of Dieter's double tops. He is fortunate to own one of each!
