This excellent Lozano has found a new home, I am expecting a new Casimiro Lozano soon, please contact me for details... Casimiro's guitars have been selected by my clients more often than just about any other maker except Jim Redgate, I love Casimiro's guitars and I really appreciate his willingness to continually keep his prices so affordable. I asked Casimiro to build another Cedar guitar for me, as his Cedar guitars are so popular. This guitar I sat down and played along side of the new Spruce guitar he also sent, so it was highly enjoyable to hear Casimiro's creative efforts expressed in these two very different tone woods side-by-side. The spruce guitar is described elsewhere on the site. This Cedar one by comparison had perhaps a bit more volume, about the same projection, and displays a warmer richer tone with perhaps a tad more sustain. Cedar lovers will find that Casimiro's guitars have the cedar qualities they enjoy and perhaps a bit more refined separation than they might normally expect. Several years ago, after years of experimentation, Casimiro refined the patented modified fan braced system he now uses such that the results were just mind numbing. His guitars, already widely respected then, vaulted to tie with JIm Redgate's guitars as my number one selling instruments. I was recently in Spain visiting Casimiro in his shop where he works tirelessly, sustained by pure love for the guitar and for what he does. He simply 'lives' to build guitars. And this shows in his instruments. Clients have sold guitars they own that cost much more than a Lozano, and acquired a Lozano, because Casimiro's guitars just blew them away. This is a result not only of his dedication and experience, but also due to the very highly studied and modified bracing system that he uses which is so effective and unique that it actually patented by the inventor. I have a very good friend, a concert artist in Europe who often chooses to play his concerts on his Lozano while his Fleta remains in it's case. Powerful, responsive, and yet very 'Spanish' they just have the perfect balance of old and new to capture the imagination of many of my clients. Click here to learn more about Lozano Guitars
