This lovely Manoli Flouras has found a home in Italy, I am hoping for another new one early 2013, please contact me with any questions... Manoli learned his skills from famous Australian luthier Jim Redgate, and in fact still works independently at Jim's shop. While the Redgate influence is unmistakable not only in sound and volume, but also in appearance, Manoli's instruments have their own unique and wonderful personality. This guitar is lattice braced cedar and has ample volume and projection. The neck is very well shaped and she is very comfortable to play. I really enjoyed getting to know this guitar and in fact while playing it my wife went out of her way to walk all the way from the other end of our rather long house ( yeah she could hear it clearly that far away) and came to where I was playing to see who made such a beautiful sounding guitar. It has that kind of voice. Modern, powerful, yet rich and interesting with fine colors and excellent balance across the registers. Manoli uses an elevated fingerboard and a twelve hole tie block as well. I think Manoli's guitars are exceptional, perhaps even more so given that they are also very reasonably priced. ©2012 Classic Guitars International • All rights reserved |
