Claudio Meneghelli is one of only two luthiers in the world endorsed by Jose and Liam Romanillos, so you can easily imagine the quality of this instrument. This guitar is as close as you could hope to come to a new Romanillos but for a fraction of the price and without the 15 year wait!! Absolutely FLAWLESS guitar. You can't help at first but to notice the breathtaking beauty and flawless craftsmanship of this guitar. The rosette, an hommage to the timeless Romanillos Rosette which captures the arches of the Mezquita in Cordoba, is visually stunning. For the back and sides Claudio chose some fine Blackwood which is beautiful and which lends a wonderful and unique character to the tone, the top is a very good piece of beautiful Spruce just filled with medullary rays so that it almost shimmers when you look at her. Claudio also uses the 18 hole tie block to secure the strings. But of course it is the Romanillos-like singing voice that everyone loves about Claudio's guitars, angelic liquid crystalline nectar, no wonder Jose and Liam endorse him. The nice surprise is that she not only has that sweet Romanillos-like presence but the volume is enhanced by Claudio's building techniques as well. For lovers of Spruce fan braced guitars I can not recommend Claudio's instruments highly enough. I agree with Jose and Liam, they are among the finest in the world and very reasonably priced as well.
