This is a very special Blanca and has to be one of the most beautiful Blancas I have ever seen. Although Ruck is known for his classicals, many people don't realize he is a very fine Flamenco player. I remember visiting him back when he lived in Hawaii, and we sat under a tree and he knocked out some killer Bulerias! As often as he can he attends the Flamenco Guitar course in Spain given by maestro Gerardo Nuñez. He built a guitar for Gerardo in the early 2000's, and in 2005 when he returned to take the course again the plan was for Gerardo to bring his Ruck Flamenco from Madrid and swap it for this Blanca that Ruck had especially built for Gerardo (it says on the label "built for Gerardo Nuñez"). As luck would have it Gerardo forgot to bring his Ruck for the swap, and he and Bob decided to deal with it at a future course, so another American at the course asked Gerardo and Bob if he could buy this fantastic Blanca instead. They both agreed, and my client has had it safely tucked away in his home ever since.

As you might guess, since Bob built this specifically for Gerardo he went 'all in' on this one, building the very best Blanca he could and using his oldest and best woods. The top is an old aged and beautiful set of Engelmann Spruce, that back and sides are of very very old flawless Spanish Cypress, he installed top of the line Gotoh tuners, and used absolutely stunning 'king wood' for the bridge and for the headstock. The rosette is gorgeous beyond words, really elegant and beautiful as is the detail on the tie block. The action is super easy too. The guitar is full on Flamenco Blanca, a 'Bulerias' guitar if you know what I mean. Punchy and bold and very quick too (again it was built with Gerardo in mind). Simply the best of the best in every way and in almost perfect new condition with only a couple very tiny marks hardly noticable at all, really appears like new. One of the most special Blancas I have had in the shop in years.
