So it is no surprise perhaps that Claudio makes what I consider to be the finest Romanillos ‘Homage’ there is, a guitar that looks, sounds, and feels like a Romanillos, built by a luthier endorsed by Jose and Liam, is about as close as you can get in my experience to a Liam or Jose guitar built by another builder.
The tone reminds me very much of Romanillos guitars, though it would be safe to say Romanillos ‘inspired’ as Claudio adds his own superb unique character of course, and the build detail and quality are also at the same level as Romanillos, the binding, rosette and workmanship are all at the highest level.
Claudio creates a concert level instrument that when you open the case makes you think ‘Oh that is a beautiful Romanillos’ and when you play it you think ’That is a lovely sounding Romanillos’. It is little wonder then that he is so heartily endorsed by Liam, and when Jose was with us, Jose as well.
An exquisite instrument that will satisfy the most discriminating player.
