I am very excited to receive this special WAVE ergonomic double top from Jim, he designed this version of his guitars a few years back and they have become quite popular with players. His ‘Ana Vidovic’ model lattice braced guitars, and ‘Dammann like’ standard double tops are well known. Less known is this very special ‘WAVE’ model. Jim goes ‘all out’ on these guitars of his own design. The top has a gently curve which not only increased cross grain stiffness ( turns out this is an important and good thing with double tops ) but also provides unparalleled access to the upper registers such that it feels more like you are playing an electric guitar with a cutaway in terms of easy access to the upper frets. The end result is a guitar of unequalled excellence in all aspects, tone, playability, player comfort, dynamic range, superior response and of course excellent volume/projection.
