1998 Greg Byers Spruce/fan braced

This is a really excellent Buyers I was super impressed when I tuned her up and played her a bit. The Spruce top, with some nice ‘bear claw’ in the wood, is well aged, stable, no cracks and no repairs and well played in. Because of that she rings like tapping a crystal glass, the top is just great. The basses are deep and rich and she is very very ‘open’ after all these years of playing.

She is in superb condition given her age, a string ding below the bridge and a few light marks elsewhere otherwise rather remarkably preserved.

The 20th half fret is easily accessed by the “millennium” style elevated fingerboard, which allows it to play almost as if it is a cutaway.
