Built in the Ramirez shop in Madrid the ‘Centenario’ model was created in celebration of the 100 year anniversary of Ramirez guitars. According to Ramirez, they set aside their best quality woods for these guitars, basically their ‘top choice’ woods for the soundboard and back and sides. They added extra detailing as well such as a carved heal cap, inlayed headstock and detailed inlays in the purfling and rosette as well. Rodgers tuners were selected. It is essentially their “1a” model on steroids. The guitar has the expected Ramirez sound and is in essentially like new condition save that the frets might need to be dressed slightly on the edges. Plays very nicely and well priced too. Finish is Lacquer. If you are a Ramirez fan, jump at this one…
