This fine Cedar Royal has found a new home, however at this time I do have 3 superb Imperial’s by Bernabe, contact me for information….

The “Royal” is the top of the line that Paulino builds, and he reserves his oldest and best woods and his most beautiful accents especially for the Royal guitars that he builds. This Royal is in like new condition with the exception of one barely perceptible mark below the first string near the sound hole, otherwise literally like new and super well cared for.

Paulino uses a ‘modified fan bracing’ for the Royal guitars that retains the traditional Spanish character Bernabe’s are so prized for, while simultaneously enhancing the volume and response so that it behaves more like the modern guitars in some ways.

Most Royal guitars are Spruce it seems, and so it is a pleasure to have this Cedar one which brings a darker, richer cedar voice to this Royal, supported by expressive basses and clear and beautiful trebles. The Rodgers tuners are an elegant detail.

For those of us who are fans of the traditional spanish guitar, and who doesn’t have a soft spot for them?,but long for some of the attributes found in the modern guitars, the Royal is the perfect blend….
