This fine Brück double top quickly found a new home, I am hoping to have a new Brück very soon, please contact me for details…

This is one of my favorite cedar Brück’s and it is in virtually new condition with the minor exception of a few super light string scuffs below the tie block and one or two very small light nail marks on the top. Michel’s guitars are well known and much loved, and his reputation as a builder who has flawlessly blended the virtues of the European Maestro builders with those of the Dammann double top concept is once again confirmed by this superior Cedar Double top. Michel’s guitars are revered for this masterful blending of ‘old world charm’ and ‘modern power and response’ and this has resulted, perhaps not surprisingly in his wait list growing now to more than ten years, approaching the wait for a Dammann for example.

Michel’s craftsmanship is perhaps some of the finest and most meticulous to be found anywhere. He is a highly skilled and intuitive builder, and I believe the fact that he is also an accomplished player himself no doubt also contributes to the refined elegance and understanding that he achieves in his guitars. I am fortunate to have spent many hours discussing building with Michel, from how he has personally harvested the wood for many of his soundboards, to theories relating to every aspect of creating a superior double top instrument. His wealth of knowledge never ceases to amaze me, and I am continuously making notes about new things he has taught me.

This instrument is just exquisite almost beyond description. As I mentioned earlier the tone is often described somewhat crudely perhaps as a “Hauser ll on steroids”. What this description is trying to capture is the blending of an old world master luthier’s voicing with the power, projection and response of a modern guitar. Michel works wonders. It is still a modern guitar, don’t get me wrong, and has all the beauty and unique vocal character that players adore in fine double tops, but there is a little ‘nod’ if you will, to the character of the old maestro’s, and this is an intoxicating blend. A ‘complete’ instrument, with every attribute you could wish for, and crafted also at the very highest level, lively and responsive, with superb projection and volume, extreme ease of play, silky beautiful basses , and full round trebles. Really I am not sure what else to say, just a delight.
