This was custom made for my own personal use by Manuel Reyes in 2011. It was one of the last few guitars Manuel made as his son Manuel hijo gradually took over the shop. Manuel made it special for me, and I had a dear friend of mine fly to Spain and pick it up from Manuel at his shop, and then personally fly it to the US to me. It was that special to me. Manual was a true maestro, and gentleman, and he always treated me with kindness when I visited his shop in Spain, his son Manuel Hijo is also a fine man, like his father, and he continues to build in his fathers style to this day in Cordoba.
This guitar is LIKE NEW, like it just came from the shop, not a mark on it, super well cared for. It is one of the top 5 Flamenco Blanca’s I think I have ever played, another one being a 1989 that I also owned. This Blanca has everything you ever hope for in the best Reyes, a powerful yet musical Flamenco voice, superb separation, flawless Flamenco action and that ‘feel’ that only a Reyes has in the hands of artists like Vicente Amigo.
