You may recall I was a guest of the Italian Government in 2024 at the Roma Guitar Festival. There I reported that I sat in the audience with my eyes closed as I listened to an accomplished player play the same passage on 30 different new guitars by fine Italian luthiers. While many sounded just lovely, only one made me sit up and open my eyes to see what it was, and that was a double top made by Davide Serracini. I was amazed at the sound and build quality and rushed over to talk to him before any of the other invited dealers could tee hee. We have been working together ever since, and this is the 4 guitar of his I have had the pleasure of offering.

Of note is the fact that one client of mine who owns several top level double tops, Dammann, Lebisch, Bruck, Redgate, Blackwell etc, played these and was so impressed that he acquired 2 of them. The 3rd one sold to a client who had been going from dealer to dealer playing double tops, but as soon as he played the Serracini I had at that time, he knew he found his guitar.
