So many years of working with, and visiting, Antonio Marin Montero in Spain has made me, like much of the guitar playing world, a huge fan of his instruments. Always consistently fine guitars, they bring to the player the romance and elegance that so endears us to the finest Spanish guitars, and still at a ‘relatively’ affordable price, the best of all worlds.
This guitar, from 2007, with lovely 3 piece back and sides of old Rosewood and a Spruce Top, is in fine condition with no cracks or repairs and only some generalized, light, ‘playing wear’.
The guitar, like all Marin’s plays like a dream, such ease and fluidity in the action. The tone is typical Marin, and very resonant, the kind of guitar you feel in your chest as you play which creates a vibrational connection between you and the guitar.
With Marin guitars being made less and less frequently as Antonio has slowed down, these guitars are a real treat when they arrive in the shop.
