Michel continues to consistently blow me away with his incredible double tops, and always has. You’ve seen me describe them as ‘Hauser ll’s on steroids’ and no doubt this derives from Michel’s long tenure curating/repairing many guitars by the old masters in Europe before embarking on his double top building career. Michel originally built Hauser style instruments, and used his extensive knowledge gained from working on some fine collections over the years, to bring a modern sensibility to the traditional old school luthiers. Eventually he was inspired to continue exploring that modern sensibility while retaining the flavor of the old traditional guitars by starting to build double tops. Now, years later, his double tops are in demand world wide and his waiting list is 10 years.

This guitar with its stunning Rosewood and refined spruce double top and Rodgers tuners with elevated fretboard and twelve hole tie block is the elegant blend of old and new combining the flavor of the past with the dynamic range, volume, and projection found in only the finest double tops. Spruce double tops are my personal favorite double tops and this guitar showcases why perfectly possessing the colors and clarity we all love in Spruce.

The guitar is in essentially new condition with a only a few very light ( think you have to hold it in the light and look really close) string impressions here and there on the lower bout. Hard to see. When you open the case it looks brand new.
