Gernot is a well know German double top builder, and his guitars have a solid following and are played by several artists, most notably Jason Vieaux. This guitar is in fine condition, a few very light marks below the tie block, nothing deep, all very light, otherwise in near perfect condition. The seller states it is a cedar double top and that the original owner had Wagner install a clear protective ‘golpeadore’ on the top which is still there, and which was successful in preventing any marks or scratches in the usual playing area of the top. Tuners are Rodgers, finely figured Rosewood back and sides and a 650mm scale. She is well played in, very open and ‘relaxed’ and is sure to please the many fans of Gernot’s guitars.
