The legendary Robert Ruck, one of the most loved and respected luthiers in the USA, is no longer with us sadly, but his legacy continues in his guitars and the music that flows thru them. Bob was a dear friend of mine. I miss him. So it is with a bit of sadness mixed with joy that I opened the case of this guitar. Bob. There you are. Oh my. And then I get to tune her up, and play a short piece and I am can see him smiling the way he always did when someone played one of his guitars. Lovely beautiful Spanish influenced voices created by the Maestro himself. The Spruce top is well played in and very open and expressive at this point and the guitar is in remarkably good condition.
