This very ‘Flamenco Puro’ Reyes has found a new home, if you are looking for a fine Reyes please contact me….

Many people love the “puro” and woody sound of the Reyes guitars from the 60’s , and those folks would love this Blanca from 1964. With Reyes “Padre” retired now of course all that remains are his legacy of incredible Flamenco guitars that he gave to us, albeit his son is now building very nice guitars to carry on the tradition. As nice as the “hijo” guitars are, there is nothing quite like a ‘padre’. This Blanca appears to be very well cared for, it is possible that it was refinished at some point in its life, or it has just been superbly cared for. Inside there is none of the telltale ‘mold’ that body heat and sweat cause on the inside of many older flamenco guitars, in fact it looks clean as a whistle as if just from the shop. No cracks that I can detect, just in generally superb condition for a Flamenco guitar of this vintage. Raspy and wiry and a bit wild, like the 60’s Blanca’s are wont to be, great for the Montoya/Sabicas kind of sound. A clean Reyes Padre at a very reasonable price as well..
