1965 Miguel Rodriguez Cedar/fan braced

Top: Cedar/Fan Braced
Back and sides: Rosewood
Scale: 650mm
Origin: Spain

These legendary guitars are always a treat when they arrive. This one was owned by my clients father and he reports it is Cedar and Brazilian and was bought by his father in Spain at the shop, but spent most of its life under his fathers bed unplayed. It looks it. While it has a few marks to be sure it is in remarkably clean condition for a guitar of this age, really superior.

The guitar had a clear protector plate which has been expertly removed, and also had a loose end block which was expertly re glued, otherwise no cracks or additional repairs owner is aware of.

Another nice aspect of this instrument is the 650mm scale, with so many Rod’s seemingly having longer scales one from this era with a 650mm is nice.

Tone and volume are what you expect from a vintage Rod, it’s all there….
