This well cared for and yet lovingly played-in Robert Ruck concert guitar was built custom for a very good full time professional player in 2003. Since then it has been carefully played in and used on multiple recordings, and not surprisingly it has a very rich, warm, spanish-like voice with superb sustain and full round trebles all the way up the neck, nice full basses and an all around lovely character. Very refined and elegant Ruck. Bob knows this client well and used very old well aged Rosewood and a great tight grained cedar soundboard also well aged. He added his dual sound ports which give a somewhat ‘stereophonic’ aspect to the player that is quite pleasant, as well as an elevated fingerboard, Rodgers tuners, and a Calton case. Bob even added his elegant carved headstock which he seems to reserve only for guitar that he feels are particularly special.
A very fine Ruck, a perfect concert and recording instrument.
