2010 Matthias Dammann Cedar/Double-composite top

This is definitely a top tier Dammann, and I have played many of them. Devine guitar. With some of the best players on the planet, players who could play any instrument they wish, opting for Dammann, he needs no introduction. Perhaps considered the ’Torres’ of our time, Dammann invented the double top and has spent decades perfecting the concept ( see my article on the origins of the double top on this page).

 

This guitar is in excellent condition, having a few dulled areas on the Rosewood French Polish and one string ding, but otherwise really superb condition, with the usual elevated fingerboard, and a fine set of Graf tuners, comes in a Hiscox case.

 

This guitar is fabulous, the tone is at the highest levels experienced in a Dammann and of course the highly desired other attributes, power, sustain, dynamic range, projection and ease of play are all present in spades.

 

We can only speculate how many mare Dammann guitars may come into the world, he is making only a few every year, and could if he wished to retire at any time, so what? how may more in the world? 20? 30? less?  Not many any way you look at it. With his wait list now effectively closed due to the long wait, the opportunity to own and play ANY Dammann is becoming a rare treat, so when the chance arrives to own and play a really nice one like this, it is worthy of serious consideration, even if it means stretching your budget to make it happen.
