I am one of the growing number of fans of Spruce double tops. Although heavier than Spruce, if prepared correctly, Spruce makes an excellent double top material due to its superb cross grain stiffness, a desirable feature in a good double top. On top of that you get the clarity and separation Spruce is known for combined with the improved volume/projection which is a great combination and leads to a lush lovely Spruce voice. Because of all that, those features being present in this particular guitar, Andreas has been one of my ‘go to’ double top builders whenever a client favors Spruce. An eloquent guitar in like new condition….
