NEW Jakob Lebisch Spruce double/composite top

Jakob has quickly risen to the elite level of the German double top builders, joining Matthias Dammann and Michel Brück at the vanguard of the best double top builders in the world. His reputation spread quickly and over just a few years he now has players gladly waiting 8-9 years to obtain one of his guitars.

Recently Jakob, who mainly uses wood as the core of his double/composite tops, experimented with a ‘variation’ in the core construction ( this is what luthiers call a secret they will not share with me ha ha, it is always a ‘variation’). He sent one to me without me knowing and it was immediately apparent to me when I played it that something very special had changed so I called him, and discovered this was a ‘variation’. I loved it. I asked Jakob to please ‘make sure all future guitars for my clients have this exact ‘variation’. I don’t know exactly what he did, but I can tell you this: it is amazing.

This Spruce double top has supreme clarity, lovely singing round trebles, and lilting, expressive basses, all combined with excellent dynamic range and powerful projection, a spruce lovers dream i.e. an expressive and colorful voice backed by the power desired to present that voice. And, super responsive to the lightest touch as well.
