We all know Scott Tennant, formerly of the LA Guitar Quartet has been playing his incredible Philip Woodfield Grand Concert ll for years now and Scott tells me it has been around the world with him ’several times’ now. Not too surprising then that former quartet partner Andrew York decided to have Phil build him essentially a sister guitar to Scotts which I was pleased to deliver to him recently here in Santa Barbara.
Yes, the guitar is already sold, true, but I wanted to share what a beauty she is with you all anyway, and to let you know that I am hoping for another Woodfield Grand Concert ll perhaps later this year, so please contact me for deposit details if you are interested.
The photo here was taken the day after Andrew received his guitar and was playing duet’s with Scott in Pasadena. Scott told me he played his new Woodfield hour a day every day for the first 6 months which opened up the new Spruce beautifully, and Andy will no doubt do the same, so hopefully we’ll see and hear more of this beauty in the coming month and years.
