I first met Jakob years ago at a conservatory in Germany. While he began building Marin inspired solid top fan braced guitars, he quickly turned to building composite tops that immediately captured the attention of fine guitarists in Germany, and soon the world. In the years that have followed he has built a huge following and his wait list is now quite lengthy for such a young builder. Comparisons to a ‘young Dammann’ have been known to circulate. His composite tops are ranked with the best in Germany and I am pleased to have the opportunity to offer a new custom built Lebisch guitar from time to time to my clients.
