Listen to the youtube link of Tatyana Ryzhkova playing “Capricho Arabe” (F. Tarrega) on her Cedar Brück double top and you can capture the feel and sound of these incredible guitars in her capable hands.
I was so pleased with the last one, that I asked Michel if he would kindly use the same combination of woods for this guitar and the result is equally as stunning. The Ziricote looks like polished gem stone, and the Rodgers tuners are smooth as silk, the action and elevated fingerboard are very comfortable to play, but the sound….well…. therein lies the magic of Michel’s guitars.
With his extensive background repairing and restoring guitars by all the best traditional makers, Simplicio, Hauser, Fleta, H and A and more, he began his career building excellent Hauser style guitars with beautiful voices. However he quickly became fascinated, as we all have, with the vast capabilities that the finest double tops offer and he began to build exquisite double top guitars.
This guitar is a pinnacle example of Michel’s work, a guitar that seems at once to have a foot in both the traditional world of the old Maestro builders, and the contemporary world of the best double tops in the World.
Every aspect of the guitar is eye opening, the lush creamy basses, the full round trebles, the ample power and projection, standard setting dynamic range and more, plus it is just a dream to play.
These have become highly desired by artists such as Tatyana, and others, and has resulted in a wait of 10 years for one of his guitars. Available now, with no wait!
