This is about as close as you could get to a ‘like new’ Arcangel Fernandez. Manuel famously worked shoulder to shoulder with Arcangel for many years while also building in his own shop, also in Madrid. In fact I visited Manuel and Arcangel in Arcangel’s shop together not long before Arcangel retired. Manuel was very involved in Arcangel’s guitars and at that time Arcangel had agreed to build for me his last Blanca and his last Negra. Playing this Caceres guitar reminds me very much of the “last Blanca” that Arcangle built and which I was fortunate enough to own. They are very similar guitars in many ways. Arcangel’s ‘last Blanca’ sold for an understandable solid price many thousands more than this Caceres, given the price of this guitar, and its similarities to the ‘last Arcangel’ I think it is a superb opportunity….
